You can use this checklist when citing sources:

• Have I used citations whenever I have paraphrase/summarised from a source?

​

• Have I used enough citations to support my arguments?

​

• Have I checked each citation again to ensure the source used is correct?

​

• Have I used the style guide (e.g. ACS, ASME, IEEE, MLA, etc,) I was supposed to use for this text ?

​

• Have I used the same style guide throughout my text?

​

• Is there a one-to-one correspondence between citations and the works listed in my reference list?

​

• If providing a bibliography list, have I included both the works referred to in the body of my text and works that are relevant to my topic?

​

• Have I formatted the references/bibliography list in the required style guide?
